Dr. Christina Shih, DDS
Pediatric Dentist
Dr. Christina Shih, DDS, is a board-certified pediatric dentist who spent her childhood living in Taiwan, Thailand, and several parts of the United States before her family settled in the Bay Area. Her interest in pediatric dentistry grew from her background in public health and her desire to help children build healthy habits and positive experiences with dental care.
Dr. Shih earned bachelor’s degrees with honors in Molecular and Cell Biology and Public Health from the University of California, Berkeley. She then earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of California, San Francisco School of Dentistry. During dental school, she developed a passion for caring for children in underserved communities and helped establish the Children’s Night Clinic to provide free dental care. She also helped organize Give Kids a Smile Day throughout dental school.
Dr. Shih completed her pediatric dentistry specialty training at the University of Southern California. During her residency, she worked at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, Children’s Hospital Orange County, and Miller Children’s Hospital in Long Beach, caring for children with a variety of dental needs, including patients with special healthcare needs.
Dr. Shih strives to create positive and comfortable dental experiences while helping children understand and take an active role in their oral health. Outside the office, she enjoys golfing, snowboarding, spending time with family and friends, and exploring new restaurants with her husband and their dog. Dr. Shih is fluent in Mandarin.
