Dr. Joanna Meekay, DDS

Pediatric Specialist

Dr. Joanna Meekay is a Northern California native who enjoys helping children and their families build positive relationships with dental care. Inspired by her own childhood dental experiences, she strives to make visits fun and comfortable while helping patients develop healthy habits. Prevention is central to her approach, including guidance for families on oral hygiene and nutrition.

Dr. Meekay earned her Bachelor of Science in Neurobiology, Physiology and Behavior from the University of California, Davis. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of the Pacific’s Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry, then completed a one-year general practice residency in Brooklyn, New York. She returned to the Bay Area to earn a Master of Science in Craniofacial Sciences and an advanced education certificate in pediatric dentistry from the University of California, San Francisco.

Dr. Meekay is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the California Society of Pediatric Dentistry, where she serves on two committees. She values continuing education and staying involved in organized dentistry to support her patients and community.

Outside the office, Dr. Meekay enjoys walking her miniature poodle, Daphne, listening to podcasts, playing tennis, trying new restaurants with friends, and spending time with her five nieces and nephews.
