Dr. Lillian Dashiell, DDS

Pediatric Dentist

Dr. Lillian Dashiell, DDS, known to many patients as Dr. Lily, is a Berkeley native who enjoys helping children and teens feel comfortable and confident about dental care. After beginning her career as a general dentist and treating patients of all ages, she discovered that providing young patients with positive dental experiences was the most rewarding part of her work. That experience inspired her to pursue specialty training in pediatric dentistry.

Dr. Dashiell earned bachelor’s degrees in English and Psychology from Colorado College before receiving her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of California, San Francisco School of Dentistry in 2016. After graduation, she practiced general dentistry in the East Bay before returning to UCSF for her postdoctoral residency in pediatric dentistry at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland.

Dr. Dashiell is a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and Alameda County Dental Society. She has also volunteered her dental services within the community, including providing exams and cleanings for autistic children with limited access to dental care and volunteering with a mobile dental clinic serving veterans.

As both a pediatric dentist and a parent, Dr. Dashiell understands the importance of creating dental experiences that help children feel safe, supported, and comfortable. Outside the office, she lives in Oakland with her husband and their three children. She enjoys animals, spending time outdoors, and being with her family.
